Serving Families in South Central and Southwest Wisconsin

Scholarships

Are you or a loved one on the spectrum considering college or vocational school?  What about choosing a career to help those with special needs?

We are offering a scholarship to help with the cost of post-secondary education.  This is to be called the Kevin Peyton Memorial Scholarship.  Kevin, the son of Karen and Steven Peyton of Middleton, Wisconsin, passed away on October 18, 2008.  He had open heart surgery at age 2 and was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder by age 6. The Peyton family has partnered with the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin and it is their wish to keep Kevin’s memory and spirit alive by helping other children with autism spectrum disorders. Learn more about Kevin’s life and his family’s other awareness activities at kevinpeytonmemorial.com

We also have a scholarship available for an individual who is enrolled in a post-secondary degree program that serves individuals with autism related challenges.  This is from money donated by the Kadane Foundation.  Kadane Foundation, formerly Kadane Oil Company, was founded in 1973.  This private company is based in Wichita Falls, Texas and it gives generously to the causes it truly wishes to support…primarily:  Health facilities and hospitals in North Texas, Cerebral Palsy research centers in Southern California, and to Autism support and awareness efforts in South Central Wisconsin.
