What:          Visit Master Gardener for Plant Information and Garden tour; snack after at Arby’s

 

When:          July 19, 2009 (Sunday) 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. 

 

Where:         1 Fen Oak Court, Madison (just off Agriculture Drive) and Arby’s at 4 Collins Ct. at the corner of Hwy 51 and the Beltline (see map on the next page)

 

Cost:            Free! (Bring money to spend at Arby’s)

 

Note that this activity is on a SUNDAY.    We will be visiting the office and gardens of Lisa Johnson, one of the UW Horticulture Master Gardeners.  You can learn more about the Master Gardener’s Program at http://www.hort.wisc.edu/mastergardener/ .  As you can imagine, Master Gardeners know a lot about plants and how to make them grow.   A great big thanks to Lisa for being willing to share her Sunday after noon and some of her gardening knowledge with us.

Welcome to the AUsome Social Group’s Newsletter.  If you are not already a member of this fantastic group please consider joining or at least attending an activity to see if you’d like to join!  There is a section about membership to this group at the end of the newsletter.

Who should consider joining?  If you're a person with Autism, Asperger's, PDD or Tourette's, this group was designed especially for you!! Others (including parents and siblings) are welcome, too. We have our own newsletter and do a fun activity every month, usually the first Saturday of the month.
