Serving Families in South Central and Southwest Wisconsin
We have several people, most currently serving terms on the Board of Directors, that regularly blog. We want to make sure that you can connect with their experiences and see their writings about autism.
Char Brandl: Char blogs as a retired teacher still actively involved with young people on the autism spectrum, especially those who are most challenged when it comes to communication. She draws on lessons learned from her years of teaching as well as from watching her own children and grandchildren grow and develop — always hoping to learn from the children themselves, and then daring to hope that others might learn from her own mistakes along the way.
Joanne Juhnke: Joanne is as a part-time university librarian and professional historian. She is very concerned about health care and focuses on legislation that affects families with disabilities. As the parent of two daughters, she blogs about Joy, a cheerful dynamo of a girl and her adventures in context of a slew of diagnoses, including autism. http://elvissightings.blogspot.com/
Briane Pagel: Briane F. Pagel is a shareholder in the Madison law firm of Krekeler Strother, S.C., practicing in the area of consumer law. He writes about his experiences with his five children
including the twins with autism, at his blog, “Thinking The Lions” http://www.thinkingthelions.com/
Jody Glynn Patrick: Jody is publisher of “In Business” magazine. She has written a book, with husband Kevin, called “During: A Couple’s Intimate Experience with Breast Cancer” but she often writes about her grandson with an Asperger diagnosis.
